This management position at Bengal Pharmacy will also have a faculty appointment to serve the growing needs of the College of Pharmacy in furthering its mission of teaching, innovative community pharmacy practice, and research. This position is primarily charged with management and oversight of all pharmacy operations at Bengal Pharmacy, which includes supervision of other pharmacists as well as technicians at 4 distant telepharmacy sites in Arco, Challis, Council, and Kendrick. In addition to management responsibilities, this individual will be required to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at least one distant site as well. The position is also responsible for the coordination, teaching, and evaluation of 20+ ISU learners annually, including first- through fourth-year pharmacy students. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Business Operations at Bengal Pharmacy and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
70% – Bengal Pharmacy management duties and pharmacy operations, including PIC duties, staffing duties, inventory management, scheduling, staff development, and organizational leadership.
20% – Precepting, oversight, and evaluation of student pharmacists completing Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs and APPEs), as well as precepting community pharmacy practice residents.
10% – College of Pharmacy didactic instruction and committee service.
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
Licensed or eligible for unimpeded licensure to practice in state of Idaho.
Excellent verbal and written communication. Staffing experience as pharmacist.
Willingness to travel.
PharmD, Successful completion of community-based pharmacy residency.
Demonstrated commitment to the profession.
Experience working with learners.
Experience with innovative practice in the community pharmacy.
