Committee Opportunities:

Professional Relations Committee
The professional relations committee caters to members who are interested in professional development and social networking. This committee is responsible for professional activity planning, member recognition, social event planning, managing ISHP website and social media platforms, along with ISHP coordination with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy. Some of the events the PRC helps to promote include the poster competition and awards ceremony at the Annual Conference, National Pharmacy Week, National Poison Prevention month, and Idaho Legislative Day.

Finance Committee
The purpose of the ISHP Finance Committee is to assist the ISHP Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Secretary/Treasurer, and Executive Director in the ongoing review of ISHP financial matters and to help ensure the financial stability of the organization. To do this, the Committee will examine ISHP’s current fee structure to ensure value to membership, evaluate resources available to develop opportunities for additional income, and prepare a balanced budget that included dedicated money for savings.

Education Committee
The purpose of the ISHP Education Committee is to facilitate the ISHP Fall Conference to meet the continuing education needs of our members. As directed by our annual needs assessment, the committee is charged with identifying speakers and topics, gathering the necessary paperwork, facilitating the peer review process, and more, all while ensuring that the program meets ACPE standards.

Administrative Affairs Committee
The Administrative Affairs Committee shall have the responsibility for review and development of ISHP’s Bylaws and policies and procedures, the governing documents of our Society. The Committee also will oversee the development and implementation of ISHP’s strategic plan. Committee members will take input from ISHP members. The President shall annually establish this committee with the Chair of the Council of Administrative Affairs serving as Chair of the committee.
