“Something Old and Something New” - Expansion of Pharmacy Services & Clinical Guideline Updates

The purpose of this ACPE-accredited Continuing Pharmacy Education program (10 hours) is to provide health-system and community pharmacists and technicians with an understanding of drug and special population related issues. Topics include Pain, Hypertension Guidelines, RX History, Stress Ulcer Prophylaxis Guidelines, Antimicrobial Stewardship, diabetes, Hepatitis C, Lipid Guidelines and RPh in the Medical Home. One law class will also be taught.

“Something Old and Something New” is a knowledge-based CPE program. Each activity will include assessment questions structured to determine the recall of facts. While designed for pharmacists and technicians who practice in a variety of settings, this program may also be of interest to other health care professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and medical assistants and technicians.
