Barb Mason PharmD FASHP is a Professor of Pharmacy for Idaho State University. She earned her pharmacy degree from the University of Nebraska and completed a residency at the Kansas City VA. Her teaching career started at South Dakota State University where she developed the geriatric curriculum. She then went on to the University of Arkansas to serve as the Director of Pharmacy Education for the AHEC and join the family practice medical residency program as a clinical pharmacist. Dr. Mason moved to Idaho to initiate ambulatory care pharmacy services and has been involved in pharmacy resident education throughout her career. It was the pharmacy residents that prompted the start of the teaching and learning curriculum and the leadership elective course for pharmacy students. Dr. Mason has held a variety of leadership positions in ISHP and ISU. Her current interests are interprofessional education and home health transition of care roles. Dr. Mason enjoys camping, reading, traveling , cabin time in McCall and family time.
